Just for fun

Hi!

I’ve taken a little break from scrapbooking. It takes some time to take care of two kids and a dog. 😀
But I still love my albums and my papers and all pretty things. It takes a bit longer to make layouts and I’m focusing on documenting as much as I can. Lola is growing up so fast!!!! And Stella is too…

Here I scrapped some older photos of Stella. I’m still trying to use up my stash. Both because I have a lot and also because I haven’t found anything new I like. The new collection from Crate Paper looks promising and I might buy it… 😀
And the new sticker books (Maggie Holmes and One Canoe Two) are on their way here! They look absolutely perfect! I was thinking about the one from Shimelle too… but Glitter Girl was a bit challenging for me to use…

For this layout I used my all time favorite stars. I have none left now… but using up stash makes me happy. Especially when I manage to use up a difficult embellishment… like the bear!

Hope you liked this layout! I’m gonna try to update my blog a bit more often! Maybe! 😀

Sweet

Hi!

Have you ever bought a paper that you just keep using… every single little scrap of it?

I have… and I used the last pieces on this layout. It’s the black paper with white dots… and I have forgotten what brand and collection it is… guess I need to find a new favorite! 😀

This layout is very me. A background with two different papers, with different patterns. Some layers of papers behind the photo… and then decorations tucked under the layers. I found my old favorite gold dots again! Still have a lot of them left! I really love decorations that can be used the same way as enamel dots. Enamel dots are not as fun as they use to be… I need new things!

The title: “Sweet liten kanin” (translates to “Sweet little rabbit”). I like to mix English and Swedish for my titles.

That’s it! Hope you liked this one!

Dream

Hi!

I really like to make patchwork backgrounds. Patchwork with pieces of paper. Like this layout. I started with a paper from Maggie Holmes Carousel. It’s allready divided in triangles, so I just added other triangles on top. I machine stitched around my paper pieces to add some interest.

I then decided I wanted to use those chipboard flowers to add some more pink to the page. Then I also added some tickets in hot pink as a diagonal pattern. That gave the page a pink diagonal with the photo and title in the center.

I’m allready thinking about making another layout with a triangle patchwork as background. I’m so very pleased with this one!

Phrase stickers in gold is perfect to add to a layout. I use those a lot!

Hope you liked this layout!

Lola and Glenn

Hi!

My dog really loves his baby girls. Especially Lola! He wants to be as close to her as possible! And she loves him too… smiles when she sees him and reaches for him.

This photo is taken on a ordinary day. Lola is sitting in her Bumbo and Glenn is trying his best to be inside the Bumbo too. The new collection from Maggie Holmes is called Carousel and is more themed than older collection. But I like it anyway… and I try to use it to everyday photos!

I really like this color combination… pink and yellow! Yum!

And also… I need more gold foil… anyone knows where to get some?

That’s it from me! Hope you get inspired to use some Carousel to your everyday photos!

Glitter girl layout

Hi!

I have a very pink daughter! She absolutely loves pink, all shades. Her favorite animal is flamingos. Just because they are pink. I’m trying to make her like unicorns too… I like unicorns and think it’s really fun that different brands has collections with them. The latest is the collection from Glitter girl… she included unicorns… PINK unicorns! I needed to buy all things with pink unicorns!

My girl just turned 4! So on her birthday (during the day) she had a bathing suit… with a unicorn on! Absolutely perfect together with the collection from Glitter girl! I didn’t get any good photos of her where you could see her outfit… but I know the unicorn was there and I will write about it when I tell the story of her birthday.

I didn’t get any papers from Glitter girl. Just stickers and ephemera. But I had loads of papers in my stash that matched the decorations. 😀

I really love this color combination, teal, pink and black! Some layers of papers under the photo, a border with the same width as the paper and some matching background. Added some decorations with the same color scheme and it was done! Easy! 😀

Hope you like my layout! Have a really nice day!

Delightful Day

Hi!

I’ve bought a lot of things from Carousel from Maggie Holmes. I love it! My absolute favorite decorations are the stars from the small embellishment set. I’ve used them up allready! 😀

I also just love that all collections from Maggie Holmes work perfectly together. So I’m still using bits and pieces from Chasing Dreams, Bloom and Gather.

Did you buy the rub-on pens from Maggie Holmes – Gather? I did… and I haven’t used them at all until now. And now I love them! One is with text and the other one is with small hearts. They are easy to use after some practice. And I like that they don’t look perfect… a bit messy. 😀

Hope you like this layout and order some Carousel! 😀

Summer layout

Hi!

I’ve been home with my two kids and dog the whole summer! We have done nothing special at all… no cocktails on the beach in some tropical land… just lazy days in the garden! It has been lovely and relaxing…. but there are no scrapbook collections with “stay-at-home-the-whole-summer”-theme! 😀

What to do?

I really liked the new summer collection from Crate Paper, Oasis, and I had some left from an older one (not sure what it was called). So a matched all the tropical flowers and leaves with my photos of us hanging around in an ordinary Swedish garden! 😀

… and I also mixed and matched some older things. The clouds are from Amy Tangerine and the white leaves are made with my new favorite die. Monstera leaves are so beautiful and although they are tropical… I really really like them.

Today, my oldest started kindergarten again and summer is over! 😦

Time to use up all summer collections and start to look at what’s new for Autumn. I now I like Carousel from Maggie Holmes (already in my stash). But I have also ordered some from the Glitter Girl collection. And I’m also looking at Turn the page from Paige Taylor Evans. What collections are you looking at (or ordering)?

Patchwork and PL

Hi!

This is my favorite technique right now… it’s some kind of patchwork and I made a similar one in pink a while ago. This is a perfect way to use up all the square ephemera. I have a hard time to use squares on a regular layout. I can only use one or two at the most… and it’s always a lot of squares in an ephemera pack. Why????? I don’t remember it was so many before? How do you use them?

For this layout I picked all squares with yellow and mustard and orange. I also took some black (to add some interest)… I don’t really have a title on this one… just small words and phrases around the photo. You don’t need a title on EVERY layout….

I have a PL page that matches this layout. So the journaling is on the PL page instead of on the layout! The best thing about PL is that you can use up some odd embellishments. Like the bird in the cage… 😀

The green washi from Maggie Holmes is one of my favorite and I use it on everything. I will use up the whole washi soon… my first used up roll! 😀 😀 😀

The papers are scraps from older collections. I love how all the collections matches!!!!

That’s it from me today! Hope you liked it!

Big photo!

Hi!

I just loooove this photo! It’s my husband playing with the camera while we were waiting for the c-section. He looked so funny in the hospital clothes! 😀

When I saw the photo I knew I wanted it big! I also knew I wanted to decorate the layout with more masculine colors (not just pink). And I also wanted to use decorations from baby collections. I gathered some green, blue and teal and placed it alongside the photo. Some stitching, stamping and gold paint… and it was done! I think it’s sometimes easier to work with a big photo, you don’t need as much papers and colors to make the page interesting!

Hope you liked this layout!

Pink love

Hi!

Pink is a very popular color in my house! My oldest daughter just loves pink and no other color! I’m guessing pink will be my youngest daughter’s favorite color as well… in a few years! On these photos she is only 2 months old and has just started to smile.

I gathered a lot of pink decorations and wanted to include some animals. Birds are one of my favorite object to include right now. Flowers are always pretty on a layout! These are cut from a paper.

I almost never mount my layouts on a background paper. But I really needed some black to balance all the pink.

That’s it from me today! Hope you like my work!
